SYNOPSIS
Desperate for chic butterfly hair clips, Fen Liang betrays her embarrassing younger sister Ann on their first day at church, fueling an unprecedented outburst since their immigration.
BIO
Taiwanese-American writer/director based in LA.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan and raised in Salem, Oregon, Feng-I received her Directing MFA from American Film Institute (AFI) with a generous, two-year scholarship from the Mary Pickford Foundation.
Feng-I's work focuses on female protagonists, exploring their relationships in an intimate, familial, naturalistic atmosphere. Prior to filmmaking, Feng-I was trained in classical Chinese Literature at National Taiwan University.
Her debut short film PAP SMEAR (2014) screened at the 22nd Women Make Waves Film Festival. Aside from film, she finds inspiration in Emily Dickinson, Chinese Opera, and Japanese castella.
